By this time I want a major goal that I have set for myself to be done. I wanted it done by next year but it likely will take more time to happen. So I am giving myself some buffer room. A four-year buffer room. I am working on making it a reality for me. I have wanted, been wanting to do this for a number of years now. It would be interesting to see it in the fall or even the spring. I am not one to fully go somewhere, even at home, where it can get very hot or very cold. Speak from someone in Canada where I get both – in an area where both can happen. Not the topic at hand. It is in fall or spring temperatures where I like exploring and where I feel I can get more done.
So here it is. I want to spend at least three months exploring Bavaria. Going to see the sight that relates to King Ludwig II and explore the Forest and nature areas it offers. My German is rusty but I can try to catch up on it so I am not totally lost. I know that Bavarian German is different than the one I learned but still I would have a base. It would be amazing for me to do it at least twice. It would be cool to get on a train or subway and go to another city and explore that city and the surrounding area for a few hours. To see the local shops, restaurants/cafes, and other local places. I would show what I have with viewers and reader on my YouTube channel, blog, and Instagram. I have been watching and viewing on two of those platforms already and I am wanting to go more and more. There are a number of cities and places I would like to see. Castles, forests, bodies of water – seeing how the people and cities are around these places. To see the big cities like Munich and the smaller cities and towns as well. It would be amazing to swim in the bodies of water that I can and walk in the areas of nature that I can.
I know the catch to it is money, the travel visa and getting time off of work. But there is a plan to save enough money and looking into the visa. The work part is going to be a challenge. At the moment I work in retail. So for those who do work in retail can get what I am saying – even with the money part too. But I am putting a plan together to make it work. It is becoming more and more of a dream vacation that I want to put into action and do it. I have been using the app maps.me to pin some places I know I want to go to. There is an update they did recently, but adding available subway lines – it may not be totally accurate or available in every area but still, it is useful to see the roots that around. I most likely will try out Airbnb for the length of it or go to a few different hotels/motels. See how it ends up. Though it would be nice to find a place to stay constantly. Stay in a hotel for a few weeks, then go to the next place.
This is likely making no sense or in any right order. Likely with some sort of repetition. And I will likely be doing some now in the coming sentences.
If I make trips to other places, I will consider myself lucky. But Bavaria is the dream trip. Top of the list. For some, it is Rome or Disneyland. A certain cruise or tour. Sure I most likely will take a tour or cruise of some sort at some point, or within another trip if I get the chance. Right now after my trip to Vancouver, I want to make this dream trip a reality. Even now I am in the planning stages of it. All that needs to be taken care of is what I have stated earlier – money, visa and time from work. Who knows, maybe things will change and I will get to be able to do this quicker than I thought. Or the opposite will happen and I push it back some more. But I hope the latter does not happen. All I can do is make a plan and save. Do my research and put in the time in advance so everything runs smoothly. I do know that I want to spend as much time as I can there as possible. So saving here I come.
Any advice? Good side hustles? (Wanting to push myself to do those.) Places to go? Tips on public transportation there? That is how I will be getting around.
